English 11 C

Welcome

English 11 C is an Honors level college preparatory study of American Literature from 1600-present day.  The foci of the class is to develop the critical reading, writing, speaking, and thinking skills as well as some of the necessary cultural background information needed for college level work.  

Students can expect a minimum of eight essays in a variety of formats (process, on demand, online).  Additionally, there will be several projects (group and individual) which are designed to help develop organizational and technological skills.

Rules

  1. Students are expected to behave like young adults and be responsible.  Additionally, these are specific rules which apply to the class.
  2. No Late Work is Accepted
  3. If a student is absent, the student must email any work due the day of the absence to Mr. Ricketts before the end of the day, or it is late and not accepted.  [email protected]
  4. Students should seek solutions not problems.
  5. No food or drink (water ok).
